One that was created by God long before they met.
“Efemena (Efe) was born and raised in southwest Houston, Texas, in a neighborhood called Mission Bend. I was also born on the southwest side of Houston Texas. I lived in several parts of Houston when I grew up, but when I turned 17 our family ventured to the southwest side of Houston to live in Mission Bend – unaware that Efe and I were minutes away.”Rozanna shares. The small community of Mission Bend is home to all the amenities typical of the neighborhood, including a community pool, tennis court, park and sanctuary, Christ The King Episcopal Church. A sanctuary that has great sentimental value for the couple.
Although Efe had since moved to Sugar Land, he and his family still worshipped and served at Christ The King Episcopal Church . The sanctuary sat right behind my house, so close that I could look over my fence and see the Church! Who would have known that just over a wooden fence, our Fate! Even though we were so close, we never saw each other,” says Rozanna.
It wasn’t until college that the couple would connect. They visited Sam Houston State University and met at the National Panhellenic event “Meet the Greeks” at the University’s Lowman Student Center. “He stood in line for the last time with his brothers from Alpha Phi Alpha Inc. and stood there smiling. From that moment I knew that Efe was bae! I didn’t know that Efe had discovered me months ago and that he had me in mind,” says Rozanna.
A few months after, Efe and Rozanna officially met. At that time, Rozanna was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.become. “Efes’ first words to ME were ‘” It’s you!”I smiled immediately, and from there we became inseparable. 7 years after, after all the harmful, opportunities and proximity, we are finally where we belong together,” says Rozanna. So beautiful.

Describe Your Wedding Dress! How was wedding shopping for you?
My wedding dress was a cream colored mermaid dress with an Alencon lace bodice, delicate lace ribbons, a textured tulle skirt and a sheer back. Shopping for my wedding dress was an exciting time filled with so many emotions. The first stop I made was Winnie Couture; I tried and fell in love with the dress I would buy after. I bought and tried countless dresses, but I always had the most beautiful first dress in mind that I tried at Winnie. So I went back to buy the “Sienna” dress, and it was the best decision I could have made!

What is your best memory of your wedding?
The best memory of our wedding was going to the reception for the first time and bringing our Vision to life. Everything was perfect! It also gave us a private moment to have fun with each other.
